A. You are covered under the policy for transits and/or stopovers, including if you leave the airport even if the stopover location is not included in your selected area of travel, as long as the stopover or transit does not exceed 96 hours.
However, No cover would apply if, before your trip begins, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has advised against all travel or all but essential travel to that country or area.
Upgrading your area of cover is not required for short transits or stopovers within the 96-hour limit, provided the destination is not under FCDO travel restrictions at the time of buying your policy.
